Wish we could provide details about this octopus, but it was unidentified when this photograph was taken, one of a series of images taken off the coast of Newfoundland by a deep-sea craft in 2010.
Why post it, then?
There’s something so friendly in its posture, and wonderfully cartoony about its, dare we say, expression? It almost looks like it swam right out of Finding Nemo.
In other words, if ever there was an octopus that deserved to be called “cute”, this is the one.
